Seafood contaminants move through the body often posturing as a benign molecule.
Humans are exposed to more mercury from eating fish, marine mammals, and crustaceans than from any other source, according to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They issued a joint draft advisory about fish consumption to women who are or might become pregnant. According to the advisory, nearly all fish contain at least traces of methylmercury. Fish can also contain PCB's, dioxins and other contaminants.
